Grossbuch — Terms of Use
By installing or using Grossbuch (the "App") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. What the App is
Grossbuch is a tool for recording your personal income, expenses, account balances and currency exchanges, and for viewing statistics based on what you record. It is a record-keeping tool. It does not connect to banks, does not move money, and does not give financial, tax, investment or legal advice.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple's App Store terms (the "Usage Rules"). You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or distribute the App except where the law expressly allows it.
3. Your data and your responsibility
All data in the App is entered by you and stored on your device. You are responsible for:
- the accuracy of what you enter, including exchange rates;
- the consequences of losing it: the App keeps no copy anywhere else, so deleting the App or losing the device deletes your data, and we cannot recover it;
- securing your device (passcode, Face ID / Touch ID).
4. Calculations and market rates
Statistics in the App are computed from your own records using the method described in the App: each amount is valued at what you actually paid for that currency. Where your own exchange history does not cover a currency, the App may value the amount at a reference market rate from a public source. Market rates are indicative, may be delayed or unavailable, and are not guaranteed to be accurate. Figures shown in the App are not a substitute for your bank statements or professional accounting.
5. Updates and availability
We may release updates that change or remove features, and may stop distributing the App at any time. Because the App works offline and stores data locally, discontinuation does not delete your data, and the last version you have installed keeps working with the ledger already on your device.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the App for anything unlawful, do not attempt to interfere with its operation, and do not use automated means to extract its code or assets.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, including as to accuracy of calculations, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data or profit, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim related to the App is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim.
9. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the App and is not responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always available at grossbuch.app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Tbilisi, Georgia, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
